Egypt truck-based marketplace has entered the Pakistan market. The online trucking marketplace connects truckers and shippers improving the mobility of goods and services. Platform users get real-time updates on the movement of loads improving efficiency, empowering drivers, reducing the cost of shipping, and creating transparency in the pricing structure.
Trella made it to the Y Combinator’s s19 batch and have also managed to raise seed funding. All this has helped leapfrog its success in the Egyptian market – a fact further strengthened by the acquisition of Trukto.
In an exclusive shared to menabytes, Trella revealed that their Pakistani operations will be steered by Saim Chaudhary who previously worked with Uber Pakistan. He earlier joined Trella to assist in its Saudi expansion strategy, and is firmly accustomed to the company and its vision for the Pakistani market.
Trella is backed by leading Venture Capital players across the region as well as Y Combinator. Starting out with a 10 man crew, the company aspires to will go head to head with other players such as Trukkin, and Freightix.
