Egypt WasteTech Plstka raises an undisclosed seed funding round for expansion

Plstka was founded in 2021 by Ahmed ElNagar and Mahmoud Youssef to offer on-demand doorstep waste collection services. The startup allows people to exchange their rubbish bags with usable coupons cards.

Plstka, an Egypt cleantech startup has completed an undisclosed Seed funding round from the  Alexandria Angels Network, with a matching fund from Hivos.

Plstka is a rewarding app helping customers benefit from solid waste with the B2B-IoT Supply chain system for waste management. The startup exchanges solid trash by discounts and coupon vouchers for life services such as F&B, medical services, and transportation.

In the press release, Ahmad ElNagar pointed out plans to acquire 1500 tons of Delta Market in the Waste industry – representing $3 million of the market and covering over a hundred thousand households.  Dr. Khalid Al Tawil, an angel investor at AlexAngels pointed out how the “Waste management industry has become a necessity and important part of our growing global economy.”
