TechInAfrica – A national entrepreneurial workshop and competition, ENGEN Pitch and Polish is calling for applications to celebrate its 10th edition this year. It’s a collaborative program with Engen Petroleum, Nedbank, Raizcorp, and a media partner, Caxton Local Media. This year’s edition will kick off in Johannesburg, South Africa on July 6.
Participants can register as a delegate to attend the workshop or complete an only entry form to participate in the competition to get selected by a panel of juries.
During the program, participants will undergo comprehensive and interactive entrepreneurial training, taught how to pitch like a professional. This session is facilitated by Justin Cohen, best-selling author, international speaker, and TV talk-show host.
As the training session ends, participants will have to pitch their businesses or solutions to the audience. On this session, they will get feedback from both Justin Cohen and the audience. The regional winners will be selected and get a chance to be the overall winner at the final competition held in Johannesburg sometime this year.
In the final round of the competition, the finalists will have the opportunity to meet funders and investors, as well as millions of rands in investments and hundreds of thousands of rands in grants.
Some benefits you can have for participating in the ENGEN Pitch & Polish are:
- Help you to get funding from potential investors
- Get valuable feedback from the audience on how to improve your business
- Help you with networking opportunities
