Envisionit Deep AI is now ready to grow thanks to a $1.65 million investment from New GX Ventures SA. This company is a partnership between New GX Capital, RMB Ventures, and GIIG Africa. This happened after the company was chosen as the winner of the African Startup Awards for the Southern Africa region.

The company makes different products that it wants to sell outside of South Africa. One of these is the Radify AI platform, which it says provides fast, accurate, high-quality, and affordable medical imaging diagnostics that are needed to find diseases and treat them.

In 2014, Dr. Jaishree Naidoo, who was in charge of pediatric radiology at a hospital in South Africa, had an “aha!” moment after reading a news story about how AI can be used to identify animals.

As a radiologist with 20 years of experience, Naidoo already knew about pattern recognition and could see right away how AI could be used in the field to make diagnostic imaging more accessible.
