FarmCap and Hubs.ng win the 2018 Digital Africa Startup Pitch Event

Many African startups are working hard each day to come up with solutions to the real African problems. Their determination has led to many organizations putting up events to support. The support is mainly directed to help them in their quest for change. African startups have gone ahead to triumph both at the local and international events. Their innovation to solve the real world problems and offer better lives has helped them to carry the day in different events. This is not a different story from the recently hosted Digital Africa startups pitch event.

Ghanaian based FarmCap and Hubs.ng, a startup from Nigeria were the overall winners at the 2018 Digital Africa start-up event. The two were awarded membership by Digital Africa Consult that will last for one year. All the startups were assisted by Network Of Incubators & Innovators In Nigeria (NINe) to showcase their ideas.

The Nigerian startup is also referred to as digital Nigeria by almost everyone who knows about it. digital Nigeria offered more than 70% solution to the challenges discussed by the jury at the summit. Furthermore, digital Nigeria’s startup is developing a digital environment. It is doing that with services that are inspired by the natural environment. Therefore they offer tech services and tools that will lead to development which will at the result to better lives.

On the other hand, Farmcap is a Ghanaian based AgriTech startup. The startup equips farmers with the Internet of Things (IoT) devices, inputs, lands, and funds. All these provisions help the farmers to manage well their productivity. The victory is of much help to the agricultural sector in Ghana if not in the whole of Africa. This is because it will boost the Farmcap’s confident making it believe in its service delivery. The startup will also improve on its services through the support of one-year membership provided by Digital Africa Consult.
