Ecobank announced the finalists to the 2020 fintech Ecobank challenge on August 6th. The highly competitive programme is in its third edition and designed to strengthen cooperation between Ecobank and African fintechs by narrowing on Africa-centered products. The finalists were from 7 countries out of a diverse pool of 600 fintech applicants. All seven startups will participate in an online finale scheduled for August 21.

The 2020 Ecobank finalists are now to pitch their ideas to a jury in anticipation for the top 3 cash prices of US$5000, US$7000, and US$10000. All finalists will become members of the Ecobank Fintech Fellowship where they shall explore 6 months of partnership opportunities.

The Ecobank Fintech Challenge is the product of a partnership between advisory firm Konfidants and has support across Africa and internationally.
