TechInAfrica – A collaboration among African leading payment platforms, Nedbank, and leading fintech enablement partner, Ukheshe Technologies with Telkom and Mastercard have made a virtual card for Whatsapp available.
Users can now pay and receive payment using Whatsapp with the Telkom Pay initiative, as well as using the virtual card for a global and local purchase that accepts Mastercard.
Telkom Managing Executive for Financial Services, Sibusiso Ngwenya, said, “This ensures greater financial inclusion through affordable products and services that cater to everyone and are easily accessible through a mobile device at any time.”
Clayton Hayward, the CEO of Ukheshe said, “We are thrilled to assist Telkom in making new, innovative products possible, and look forward to continuing our journey of supporting clients in their efforts to offer cutting-edge payment solutions to people who need them most.”
