Flutterwave has disclosed that it has been granted licenses in Egypt as a Payment Services Provider and Payments Facilitator.

The company says its goal is to connect all major parts of Africa through payments and then connect Africa to the rest of the world. It says that the new license will allow it to offer first-class payment services and connect businesses in the North African country to their customers without any problems.

Olugbenga “GB” Agboola, the creator and CEO of Flutterwave, employs a single API to streamline cross-border financial transactions in Africa between small and large businesses. The company also aids businesses from outside of Africa in growing their operations there. Among its foreign customers include Booking.com, Flywire, and Uber.
