Flutterwave, the Nigerian fast-rising payments platform has announced the Payment Protection Promise – a new policy that protecting all customers shopping online, including merchants using their platform.
The new policy offers money-back guarantees to online shoppers boosting their overall confidence in financial security when using Flutterwave’s payment solutions. Should an item fail to arrive or is received as damaged, faulty, or mismatched, the shopper is protected.
With a growing online e-commerce culture spreading across the continent, shoppers need more confidence to boost their shopping experiences. Nigeria is the first country where the policy has been launched and it covers transaction values below ₦10,000.
Olugbenga GB Agboola, the founder and CEO of Flutterwave gave comments on the new policy that ensures all online shoppers using Flutterwave get “value for their money.”
Under the Payment Protection Promise, merchants can make counterclaims when falsely accused. Those who are fraudulent will be delisted from the payment platform. Transactional disputes can be registered on the dispute page or through Flutterwave’s support channels.
