TechInAfrica – The appointment of Stephen Taylor as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of HMD Global, the home of the Nokia phone has been announced. The new CMO has almost 30 years’ experience in sales and marketing across some of the world’s best-known brands including PayPal and Samsung.
At HMD Global, Taylor will be accountable for the general marketing plan and performance for the whole arrangement of Nokia telephones and will answer to Florian Seiche, CEO of At HMD Global.
According to Florian Seiche, CEO of At HMD Global, Nokia now continues to focus on digital-first marketing strategies since the company needs to attract and keep up talent with an appreciation for future-proofing our business. With the competencies that Stephen had, the CEO believes that he will push Nokia to convey more effective missions as well as widen its locale and effect via online media.
Taylor was CMO for EMEA at PayPal before he was appointed to be the CMO at Nokia. In PayPal, he is responsible to drive a total redo of the company’s digital marketing capacities. In his past position as CMO for Europe at Samsung Electronics, his responsibility to the quality customer obtaining and skill in CRM, social media and direct-to-buyer online business helped lead the brand’s change.
Taylor joins HMD Global following the announcement of three new Nokia smartphones, including the first 5G Nokia smartphone, the Nokia 8.3 5G, a new member of the Originals family, and the Nokia 5310.
