Ghana eCommerce Awards to be Hosted in Accra on November 30, 2018

TechInAfrica – The most anticipated Ghana eCommerce Awards set out to be hosted at the Swiss Alisa Hotel, Accra on November 30, 2018. The Awards are much expected to create high standards and healthy competition within Ghanaian online businesses.

The Awards will be addressed to individuals as well as companies who have devoted to innovation in online business sector in the region. Moreover, the Awards also seek out individuals and companies who have given significant impacts on the industry and gained much satisfaction from customers.

The Event Director of OML Africa, Paul Asinor, said: “We want Ghanaian online shoppers to have the quality they seek. Online shoppers should have the products delivered quickly. Online shoppers should not be victims of cybercrime. Online shoppers should be able to return damaged products by a reliable “Returns Policy” offered by online retailers.”

There 200 nominations from more than 100 individuals and companies have been received. In terms of the number of nominations, an online shopping platform, Mallghana.com has taken the lead of most of the award categories with 11 nominations. Following on the second and third place, there are a food-ordering platform, pizarea.com, and a leading online fabric store, rosefabricsgh.com with 8 nominations for each.

Meanwhile, the continental online marketplace, Jumia Group, the African fashion marketplace, Ahwenepa.com, and the online retail shop, Africakart.com all receive 7 nominations.

The Awards also run ‘’who-is-who’’ contest followed by other nominees, including Tonaton, Zoobashop, Melcomonline, Aramex, DHL, Electromart, Mazzuma, AlexPay, Zeepay, Flutterwave, SynCommerce, MarketExpress, ZongoMart, Skynet Express, among many others.

The Awards have the most anticipated categories, such as Best Online Retailer of the Year, Best Male and Female eCommerce Entrepreneurs of the Year, Best e-Government Experience of the Year, Best Multi-Channel Retailer of the Year, Best eCommerce Innovation in Payments, Best eCommerce Delivery Company of the Year, and many more anticipated categories.
