The use of cryptocurrency has received a huge intake in Zimbabwe in the recent past. This is due to the country’s unstable nature of its currency. Most Zimbabweans believe that converting their money into Bitcoin is safer and reliable to them. Moreover, it has proven to be a difficult thing to get money in and out of the country. This is because many banks have a restricted transaction limit. Some have even closed down because of lack of literal currency. This has offered a good environment for various movers to offer the citizens with an alternative to getting money in, out and around Zimbabwe.

Golix is one of the leading cryptocurrency exchange in Zimbabwe. The startup launched the first ever Bitcoin ATM in Zimbabwean capital in April 2018. This was then followed by a partnership with a South African based Blockstarters a blockchain incubator. The partnership will see Golix expand its services into South Africa. Launched in 2015 Golix will enter into the South African market without facing the common difficulties that come with joining a new market.

Yeukai Kusangaya Golix’s product manager lauds the partnership. She did that by citing it as a promising and positive move. The incubator will offer Golix a great learning platform in every new environment in SA. Blockstarters will offer the needed direction in the market. This will make it easier for Golix to partake its operations. The country is one of the best places to venture in since many individuals use cryptocurrency. The move will help Golix in achieving its goal of expanding into various markets in Africa and also better its services in Zimbabwe.

Kreaan Singh Blockstarters co-founder says that his startup brings the best in the crypto and blockchain industry. The main aim is to allow startups to grow up together and be an inspiration to one another. This will help come up with innovative solutions for Africa. The likes of Golix will in future help many people to also be a source of inspiration to others.
