After completing the desired skill development, participants will receive a Google certification grant to take Google’s Associate Android Developer, Mobile Web Specialist, and Associate Cloud Engineer certification exams.
Included in this year offerings are around 30,000 additional scholarship opportunities as well as 1,000 grants for the Google Associate Android Developer, Mobile Web Specialist, and Associate Cloud Engineer certifications. The program will be delivered by Pluralsight and Andela, through an intensive learning curriculum designed for entry-level and intermediate learners in their roles as software developers.

Google’s developer certifications are developed in a job-task analysis which tests learners for skills that companies expect software developers to have. The scholarship program will allow African learners to have:
- Access to expert-led videos which is available on-demand via mobile app and have offline capabilities
- Guided skill development according to the learner’s chosen skill track
- Skill assessments that help learners to identify knowledge gaps and strengths, as well as allow them to share their proficiency on social media like Facebook, Twitter, and Stack Overflow
- Support from the Pluralsight Help Center and the Andela Learning Community to help learners to complete their skill development track and prepare them for their chosen Google certification exam.
