Google Play launches a free rewards programme in South Africa. It enables users to earn points while redeeming them for in-app purchases or credit.

The Google Play Points move has created a rewards programme for its Google Play Users that helps them earn points on how they use Google Play. The new rewards programme began in South Africa and spread to 12 other countries extending to Europe and the Middle East.

Users will earn points on apps, movies, games, and other items on the Play Store. Google has partnered with top apps and game developers on its Play Store. Users can now redeem points on their special in-app character items.

Google has over 2 billion people across 190 countries relying on Google Play to discover movies and apps that help one to be more productive. To sign up for the programme select ‘menu’ in the top right and select ‘Play Points’. Users get to earn three times the Play Points on everything bought during the first week from the store.
