Gro Intelligence disclosed an $85 million Serie B funding round, led by Intel Capital, Africa Internet Ventures, and Ronald Lauder and Eric Zinterhofer. Other participants were previous investors GGV Capital and DCVC, alongside Rethink Food, Dick Parsons, and other family offices.
Gro was founded in Nairobi with offices in New York offices. The startup currently integrates 40,000 data sets while processing over 650 trillion data points. It’s customer segments range from agricultural output companies, financial institutions, retailers, food and beverage companies, and other industry players.
Gro Intelligence is an AI-powered insights company offering decision-making tools, solutions, and analytics in the agriculture, food, and climate economy for their participants. The financing will be applied in the acceleration, growth, and global adoption of the Go Platform which enhances its Machine learning capabilities while delivering local insights on agriculture, food, and climate risk.
