GSMA’s Ecosystem Accelerator Innovation Fund disburses £250 000 equity-free funding, partnering opportunities, and technical assistance. The initiative mainly targets enterprises in the mobile tech in the Asia Pacific and Africa. The plan is aimed at providing collaboration with mobile operators to help in sustainable business through the production of goods and services. The move will thus foster socio-economic benefits in Africa and the Asia Pacific regions.
The latest startup in the portfolio was added last month making the total number of startups to hit 24 currently. The sector-agnostic fund application process was announced via GSMA website on 12 March this year. Potential entrepreneurs have up to 15 April to submit a request. Round 3 of the Ecosystem Accelerator Innovation Fund of GSM Association is ongoing and open for all interested applicants.
