Hello Tractor, an initiative originating in Kenya that promotes the sharing of tractors across the continent, has been declared the winner of the fifth annual CATAPULT: Inclusion Africa programme.
The CATAPULT: Inclusion Africa program was made by the Luxembourg House of Financial Technologies (LHoFT), a public-private national fintech platform, with help from the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs’ Directorate for Development and Humanitarian Affairs. Its goal is to connect Luxembourg’s microfinance industry with the rest of the finance industry and bring attention to its projects that align with the SDGs.
After getting more than 400 applications, 15 fintech startups from Africa were chosen to go to Luxembourg for the fifth edition of the program.
Each person had to give a three-minute pitch, and the jury had two minutes to ask and answer questions.
Hello Tractor was the winner.
It’s an honour to win this prestigious award in a field with so much talent.
Hello Tractor’s CCO, Jamie Goode, says that the Catapult cohort’s world-class mentors, guest speakers, and peer-to-peer learning have given the company a new perspective.
