TechInAfrica – In times when the global activities may seem as if turned to a halt temporarily, it certainly doesn’t stop people from working and doing their best.
To make it easier for the companies and the job seekers, global non-profit organization The One Club has patched a job board to relieve the extra steps and difficulties that people might struggle in finding the available jobs post and for companies in discovering their best fit.
The listed positions are intended for all types of work, from full-time, freelance, to the internship. The board is filled with both immediate and future openings, providing a chance for people from various experience levels.
The good news is, the service is free to access for everyone.
“The One Club’s mission is to support and celebrate the creative community,” Kevin Swanepoel, CEO of The One Club says.
“Everyone knows about the ‘celebrate’ part, with programs like The One Show. This new job board is an example of the ‘support’ we can offer to the industry, acting as a conduit to connect the global community with job opportunities,” Swanepoel says.
How did the initiative start?
According to The One Club corporate member and chapter manager Justin Eipsten, the board is the fastest way to connect people with job openings in response to people whose job might have been affected by the pandemic. “It’s a simple, no-frills platform that can make a real difference for both parties,” he adds.
And it proves just right as the listed openings grown to 180 and more in just a few days.
As head of One Club’s corporate member agencies, Eipsten along with Louis Geist created a form to submit job postings. They also contacted other corporate member agencies about the platform.
You can access the job board here without the need to register for a One Club membership.
If you are a design studio, brand, production company, or an agency looking for potential candidates, you can fill in the form here to submit your openings.
