TechInAfrica – Seven organizations have chosen Internet Exchange Point of Nigeria (IXPN) as their traffic host.
“We are delighted to have these seven reputable Network Operators recently join the exchange point. This, for us, is a pointer that the call for Internet domestication by IXPN, some stakeholders, and well-meaning Nigerians is being responded to, positively” said Muhammed Rudman, IXPN CEO.
Joining the exchange point is The Central Bank of Nigeria, Huawei Clouds, Orange Telecoms, Proline Technologies, Ciudad Infrastructure Limited, Choice2mobile Technologies Limited, and Nigerian Communication Satellite Limited.
Rudman also argues that hosting within the country will gain the companies faster access to their content by the end-users, and helping the country’s digital economy by payment of the hosting service with local currency.
