HUB2, a financial technology company targeting French-speaking regions, has secured EUR8 million (US$8.4 million) in its Series A funding to fuel its regional expansion.
The company has created a seamless, secure platform that integrates both domestic and international financial services, supporting a wide range of payment options.
TLcom Capital spearheaded the Series A funding round, with participation from Dutch entrepreneurial development bank FMO, Enza Capital, French public investment bank BPI France, AXIAN, DCG,African Fintech Collective,
Eric Barbier, andENL Corporate Ventures.
Founded in 2019 by Ashley Gaüzère and co-led by Jean-Rémi Kouchakji since 2023, HUB2 provides digital enterprises with a unified API that enables efficient processing of both domestic and global payments through mobile money, bank transfers, card transactions, and cryptocurrency.
HUB2 ensures broad reach and seamless integration across various payment methods by partnering with leading mobile money providers in the region, including
Wave,Orange, MTN,Moov, Free, T-Money, and Celtiis. Prominent fintech companies like Djamo, Onafriq, and Daba Finance consider HUB2 a trusted collaborator.
“After two decades in telecommunications, I recognized the demand for reliable, interoperable payment solutions across Africa. HUB2 was developed to fill this gap, establishing infrastructure that the industry can depend on,” stated Gaüzère.

HUB2 currently operates in six Francophone African countries: Ivory Coast, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Benin, Togo, and Cameroon. Over the next 24 months, the company plans to expand its reach across the entire region, from Senegal to Madagascar.
