The iHub innovation centre will be situated in Garissa and Marsabit counties of Kenya for 21 months. The core mandate of the project is to provide solutions for drought-affected communities in North Eastern regions. American financial service firm, Adeso (Kenyan humanitarian firm) and UK Aid are the initiative donors.

According to iHub report, the centre will be accessible to targeted communities. Additionally, the Lab will allow participation of all rural communities. The project will now shift focus to rural problems instead of urban issues.

In order to achieve the set objective, the centre will incorporate a team of innovative entrepreneurs.  Innovative thinkers will provide technical support, concepts development regular project valuation.
