Infinix has introduced its latest smartphone lineup, the Hot 50 series, which takes over from the Infinix Hot 40 series that was launched last December. Among the new models, the Hot 50i stands out as the top-rated option in the series.

The Hot 50i sports an eye-catching ultra-oval, dual-rear-camera design with a slim profile of just 8.1mm and a light weight of 184g. Its sleek build is designed for easy handling and comfortable use. The device comes with a 6.7-inch punch-hole display, featuring a 120Hz refresh rate that ensures smooth scrolling for social media, video streaming, and gaming. It also includes dual speakers, which enhance sound clarity by up to 300 percent. Additional highlights include a 5m LED flashlight, a USB Type-C charging port, and dual SIM support.

The Hot 50i is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G81 chipset, offering options for either 4GB or 6GB of RAM, with an additional 8GB available through Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE). For storage, the device provides 256GB of expandable space.

In terms of photography, the Hot 50i boasts a 48MP main camera alongside an 8MP front camera for selfies. Various modes, including AI Cam, Portrait, and Slow Motion, further enhance the photography experience. Both the front and rear cameras support 1080p video recording.

The device is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that provides users with up to 14.2 hours of power, supported by an 18W FastCharge feature for quick recharging. Additionally, it holds an IP54 certification, offering dust and water resistance, making it a reliable choice for outdoor enthusiasts.

Running on XOS, which is based on Android 12, the Infinix 50i offers a seamless and user-friendly experience, complete with a variety of features. Infinix has also integrated several AI capabilities, including ASK AI, which acts as a personal assistant on the device. Additionally, there’s Folax, allowing users to manage music, calls, and other functions easily.

The Infinix HOT 50i is now available in Kenya, starting at $106 (Ksh 13,699), and is offered in four colors: Titanium Grey, Sage Green, Dreamy Purple, and Sleek Black.
