TechInAfrica – Infobip has informed that it has signed a definitive agreement with Amdocs to take over a mobile messaging solutions company, OpenMarket. The deal in this agreement is worth $300 million. Both companies expect that the transaction will end after the regulatory approvals.
The acquisition unites the complementary regional brands, combining the OpenMarket scale in the United States using the strength of Infobip outside the USA to build more than 14 billion customer interaction in various communication channels over 190 countries across the world, according to Infobip.
Silvio Kutic, CEO of Infobip said that the transaction remains an important step in Infobip’s movement towards exponential growth. Infobip and OpenMarket have some 10,000 customers, including some of the largest companies around the world. Infobip now can meet the demands of customers in every region, with the best connection to over 650 mobile operators and a best-in-class united portfolio of cloud-based messaging and SaaS offerings.
Kutic is also very excited about the fact that the OpenMarket team will be a part of Infobip. OpenMarket has constructed a great business that is rapidly developed. Also, since Infobip and OpenMarket have the same mission, this will be the right time for both companies to start their work.
