TechInAfrica – More often than not, businesses operating in the fields of network service would be competing against each other to provide the most affordable, fastest connections. This notion, however, doesn’t apply to Intelsat—who plans on collaborating with Stratosat with hopes to bring high-speed broadband wireless connection to the African continent. The collaboration is signified by the marketing strategies of Stratosat and the well-engineered structural global network of Intelsat.
Addressing to the lack of decent network connection in the region—which has been a significant problem for quite some time—the two companies aim to bring the solution within various market points of Africa.
Stratosat’s NextGen services, in one hand, hopes to enable multi-national enterprises to engage and connect with their partners and customers throughout the region via various nodes that has been powered by Intelsat’s FlexEnterprise. This, in return, would boost the aspect of interconnectivity and overall economic growth within certain areas.
Intelsat’s FlexEnterprise, however, works in a more technical way than Stratosat’s NextGen. The service offers global coverage with minimum limitations and/or restrictions in delivering high-speed internet wireless connection.
Brian Jakins, Intelsat’s Regional Vice President of Africa, regarded that internet connectivity is one of the most significant key features in helping the overall economy to grow locally and regionally. In addition, Jakins also added that the company will commit to provide sustainable internet connection for all layers of society—that means businesses, communities, and individuals across Africa.
Furthermore, he also conveyed:
Stratosat is the first of Intelsat’s FlexEnterprise partners to focus on expanding broadband connectivity in the Central African region.
With that assertion, it’s more than highly likely that both Intelsat and Stratosat will also be partnering up with other tech companies in order to empower local service providers—offering cost-effective yet reliable broadband network for future consumers.
