TechInAfrica – Partnering with Cash Crusaders, KaiOS Technologies has revealed the DIXON XK1. This smart feature phone is priced at R450 and comes with a dual SIM slot that allows its users to both maximize coverage and choose the pre and postpaid plans that are suitable for their budget and needs.

This new smart feature phone set three different groups to be its target market. 

  1. The first group that becomes the target of DIXON XK1 is the first time internet users or relatively new. The group that usually tries to find the safe and trusted reference to access important information, including the access to enter the famous application in the world, such as Google Assistant, Google Maps, WhatsApp, YouTube, Facebook, and other related local content. 
  2. The second group is the 5 million South Africans who want to access the internet, but cannot afford the smartphone since it is out of their budget. 
  3. The last group to be targeted is the people who are trying to find the back-up device to replace between operators to receive the best price and reach. Also, the smartphone is for people who want to do an activity such as hiking or their chosen sports activity.

CEO of Cash Crusaders, Sean Stegmann said that digital inclusion is the main discussion in South Africa and Cash Crusaders is excited to be a part in developing access to the important life tools and services found online, mobile phones.
