Norrsken, the global entrepreneurship hub will invest $12m to the local and regional entrepreneurship scene through its Kigali campus. Operations at the campus will commence in September 2021. Norrsken bought the plot from a former Belgian school located at the center of Kigali and plans to transform it into the biggest hub for entrepreneurs across Africa.

The hub will accommodate several incubators, startups, accelerators, accountants, lawyers, investors, and corporates operating in the ecosystem in a manner that helps build strong companies solving global challenges.

Norrsken made its Rwanda debut in 2019, the second global hub after Stockholm, and is expected to boost the overall vision of the company to become a regional entrepreneurship and innovations hub. Pascal Murasira, who is the Managing Director at Norrsken East Africa, attributed their involvement in the local scene to challenges faced in the entrepreneurial arena.
