Our Leaders startup from Nigeria has launched an online platform. It offers the locals a chance to track the performance of their political leaders.  Africa is known as a continent with political leaders who don’t work in line with the people’s needs. Instead, they work toward fulfilling their interest. That’s the reasons why Our Leaders is making it easier to track the performance and progress of the leaders.

Every Nigerian politician has their profiles mounted on the platform. The public can view their details. There is also the previous political and non-political roles, and their educational background. The main goal is to offer more links between the people and their leaders. The creation platform has also helped to ensure good governance and great leadership. Moreover, the country lacks a platform to help people track the performance of the politicians.

People only elect others without any background knowledge about them. The people are only literate about the houses they are represented at. They include Senate, the House of Representatives, and ministers. The problem comes when you ask a local about the specific duty of the politicians.

Their role, its importance to the country and achievements are the information that a good number of locals lack. But Our Leaders online platform is coming in to narrow the gap between leaders and locals. The startup funds its activities. It’s still looking for a good revenue model. It only focuses on offering good uptake through giving what the users are asking for. The platform has received overwhelming support from the public. This came after conducting public awareness. The feedbacks and the following received on their social media handle is encouraging.

The platform is currently operational only in Nigeria. But they are planning to expand to other African countries soon. Our Leader platform is only aiming at pushing for better leadership. They don’t generate any revenue yet. This will probably help the politicians in working in accordance to their manifesto.
