The Liberian who Emerged the Obama Foundation Africa Leader

Mlen-Too Wesley and Charles Dorme Cooper launched the Cookshop.biz in 2014. The Cookshop Food Services is an online platform that allows people to order food items. It also helps clients to make order from reputable restaurants in Monrovia. The online system operates through computers or mobile phones. The Liberian investors fund the company alongside support from the local food vendors. The industry is one of the ICT- based services in Liberia.

The founder also works with the Ministry of Finance in Liberia. At the ministry, he coordinates programs aimed at achieving the pro-poor development agenda. He holds Bachelors degree in Philosophy, Political Science, and Economics from Rochester University. Mr. Wesley also pursued Computer Science from Penn State University.

He was named the Obama Foundation Africa Leader. He managed to secure the honor from more than ten thousand applicants all over Africa. The press report showed that Mr. Wesley will take part in the Leaders Africa Program. The program will be conducted in South Africa as from 14th-18th July this year. The foundation selected 200 leaders from various sectors in Africa. The sectors comprised of the civil society, private sector, and government institutions. The identified leaders showed commitment towards the common good for the society. The main focus of the initiative is to train leaders who will help in driving positive change in the continent.

According to Bernadette Meehan, the foundation provides international linkages in Africa. He added that training 200 Africa leaders is a great achievement in the continent. This program will spearhead dissemination of positive impacts among various communities in Africa.
