Liquid Intelligent Technologies has officially launched the first Microsoft Azure Stack in Uganda, providing local businesses with access to cloud solutions that align with local data regulatory requirements.
By investing in the country’s first Azure Stack hub, Liquid is not only reinforcing its dedication to Uganda’s digital transformation but also contributing to the Uganda Digital Transformation Roadmap. This roadmap sets an ambitious target of connecting 90 percent of Ugandan households to the internet by 2040—a goal that Liquid is fully committed to helping achieve.
Michael Mukasa, CEO of Liquid Intelligent Technologies Uganda, emphasized the significance of this development: “The Azure Stack hub in Uganda will be a transformative resource for local businesses. It offers them an affordable way to access local cloud solutions, ensures compliance with local data regulations, and allows them to operate latency-sensitive business applications with greater efficiency.”
With this investment, Liquid asserts that it will provide its current customers with a highly secure cloud solution, reduce latency, and enable real-time business continuity through flexible adoption models.
“This marks the fifth African country where Liquid has implemented Microsoft Azure Stack, showcasing our expertise in assisting businesses of all sizes with digital transformation. The Azure stack will not only cater to large enterprises but also drive cloud adoption among Ugandan Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) by offering flexible adoption models,” Mukasa stated.
For over 15 years, Liquid has been at the forefront of Uganda’s connectivity and technological evolution. The introduction of Azure Stack marks yet another milestone for the organization as it continues to lead the way in bringing innovative technology to drive economic and technological progress in both the country and the broader East Africa region.
