Egypt’s ITIDA just signed a cooperation agreement with Majid Al Futtaim Global Solutions to set up shared services centers across Egypt. The event took place in the presence of Amr Talaat, Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology.

This center by MAF Holdings will stand out across the Middle East and Central Asia regions. The Group will establish its Egypt operations with the objective of offering shared service operations such as HR, accounting, IT services, and procurement across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, from the Egypt center.

The ICT minister pointed out that Business process outsourcing is a labor-intensive industry Egypt holds of great importance given its regional leadership and remarkable positioning on the global BPO and offshoring services industry map. Egypt is also one of the leading destinations for multinational businesses to establish dedicated service centers for global operations.

As per the agreement MAF will undertake to employ 600 more Egyptian employees over the course of the agreement which is primarily directed to export activities.
