MainOne is Expanding MDXi to Ghana with New Data Center Facility

TechInAfrica — MainOne, a network and internet service provider, has announced to expand its data center brand, MDXi into Accra, Ghana. A new data center facility is prepared to serve at the end of 2020 in Appolonia City.

The new data center will serve the demand for colocation and interconnection services for both locals and multinationals companies that progressively increases. The businesses require shared services facilities for their ICT resources in preeminent facilities.

It will provide businesses the chance to host infrastructure facility that has high-level availability and full connectivity with a global network of customers, partners, and suppliers.

This ensures 24/7 online service delivery for businesses.  MDXi’s leading infrastructure will have private data center suites, enterprise-grade 24/7 multi-level security and video surveillance, precision cooling, safety and fire suppression systems with multiple redundancies built into the power, cooling, and security infrastructure.

The facility will offer open-access connectivity options to all telecom networks in Ghana and direct access to MainOne and other submarine cable systems. The facility will also supply access to multiple Internet Exchanges comprising the GIXA (Ghana), IXPN (Nigeria), LINX (London), DECIX (Frankfurt/Lisbon), and Cote d’Ivoire Internet Exchange (CIVIX), as well as the West Africa Internet Exchange (WAF-IX).

MDXi data center in Lekki, Lagos-Nigeria, is the largest commercial data center in West Africa. It is designed with a focus on high availability, security, and open-access connectivity.
