Recently, we reported about the $200,000 funds that Lifebank received to enhance its operations. As already noted, the funds came from Fola Laoye, EchoVC Partners, and Co-Creation Hub.

Co-Creation Hub has supported LifeBank from the inception of the idea. Co-Creation Hub offered $25,000 during the initial stages. Besides, it added $15,000 to LifeBank as a private investor.

LifeBank mainly focuses on the health of Nigeria’s citizens. The startup ensures that hospitals have enough blood supply and deliver medical products when requested.

Currently, the startup has 5026 donors and has served 351 hospitals in Nigeria. Moreover, it has moved 9025 products and helped save 1,199 lives.

Mark Zuckerberg, the owner of Facebook said that the startup should continue with its services. Besides, he said that the startup will act as a model not only to Nigeria but also other countries globally. Moreover, he recognized that the smart blood system helps in saving lives in Lagos. Therefore, he advocated for its expansion to other parts of Nigeria and Africa.

Fola Laoye which contributed part of the investment has over 20 years experience in Nigerian healthcare while EchoVC Partners on the is a capital firm based in Lagos.
