The Covid 19 pandemic has shown the world who the true heroes are. It made everyone realize that the true heroes are the medical doctors. While others are observing the lock down, medical professionals are busy saving lives, and thus, putting themselves in harm’s way. So, medical personnel genuinely deserve more accolades.
However, the NTRA (National Telecom Regulatory Authority) in Egypt recognizes Egypt doctors’ effort in the fight against the Covid 19 pandemic and wants to reward them. The agency has reached an agreement with four top mobile operators in the country to offer doctors in Egypt a free data bundle every month.
The free bundle, according to the agency, would include access to 3,000 minutes, plus 10 gigabytes, monthly. The beneficiaries include medical doctors and administrative personnel, across the various isolation centers in Egypt. According to the NTRA, the motive behind this reward is to recognize Egypt doctors’ effort in the fight to prevent the global pandemic, Covid 19, from sending people to an early grave.
According to the NTRA, Amr Talaat, Egypt’s minister of Communication and Information, is firmly behind the agency’s decision. The minister supports this reward for doctors and would continue to do more to ensure their effort to combat and end the novel virus comes to fruition.
