Methys Group, a French-South African Digital Transformation & Innovation firm just announced the launch of Enrich in Africa initiative (EiA) supported by the EU commission and several other African and European partners.
Methys confirmed its leadership role in the ENRICH in Africa (EiA) initiative, a platform supporting the EU-Africa Innovation Community and also funded by the EU through the Horizon 2020 programme and coordinated by Germany’s Steinbeis 2i brings together top stakeholders in the innovation sector across Europe and Africa while addressing the needs for capacity development of accelerators, incubators, and entrepreneurs in those regions.
On the website, Enrich in Africa looks to run from 2021 to 2023 thanks to €3.5 million funding focussed on; first, draw expertise of core partners in the development and pilot of activities that demonstrate impact and value In the second phase open these opportunities and projects to the wider community, and finally build a solid foundation of knowledge and services.
EiA consortium consists of European and African partners actively delivering services on the ground. They collectively pull their knowledge and strength to create a common purpose of enhanced value with sustainable value for the whole community.
The program looks to:
- Deliver capacity-building services for incubators and accelerators across Africa and Europe.
- Promote networking opportunities
- Developing soft-landing services that support and foster incubation
- Help innovators reach out to innovation centers, investors, and partners within the EU and African ecosystems.
- Organize an Annual Congress that highlights capacity building opportunities, fosters policy dialogues, and recognizing the best practices.
Methys will provide the digital part of the entire platform accompanied by soft-landing services across South Africa alongside a partnership with French South African Tech Labs incubator while leveraging on leading African tech events.

The EiA consortium is made up of Methys, and other partners such as Steinbeis 21, Impact Hub, the European Business and Innovation Centre Network, Sociedade Portuguesa De Inovação, Agorize, Bondy Innovation, Co-Creation Hub, I-Hub, Tech Accelerator, Science Technology, and Innovation Policy Research Organization, and BPI France.
