Mondia and Jumia launch new gaming service for African customers on the JumiaPay App

Subscription-based service JumiaPay will give its consumers unrestricted access to Jumia Games that features thousands of high-quality gaming options. As a leading technology company, Mondia connects people to digital experiences by creating worthwhile partnerships. Jumia, is Africa’s largest e-commerce platform and made the announcement on the launch of Jumia Games, an entertainment section on the JumiaPay App.

Jumia is listed in the NYSE as JMIA and embedded in the JumiaPay App is a competitively priced entertainment category. In the first roll-out phase, the gaming portal will be available in 5 African countries namely Morocco, Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya. A further rollout is expected in Côte d’Ivoire and Tunisia over the next half year.

Customers using the subscription-based service JumiaPay will access  Jumia Games offering high-quality and popular games such as Tom and Jerry, CR7, Cartoon Network, and Ben10.

According to APO Press releases, the Africa gaming market growth forecast for 2020 to 2025 is about 12%. Mobile gaming currently accounts for half of the revenue generated from gaming. With over 200 million Africans below 35 years, the continent offers tremendous potential for the future of gaming.

The partnership with Jumia is part of enterprise Mondia vertical aiming to help companies maximize on digital relationships shared with their customers. Subscription to Jumia Games gives customers access to games with prices starting at €1.5 per month.
