MTN, a multinational telecommunications group that offers cellular network access and business solutions, has chosen Intelsat, which runs one of the world’s largest integrated satellite and terrestrial networks and is the leading provider of in-flight connectivity (IFC).

This will help Intelsat maintain its leadership while meeting the demand for broadband in remote areas of South Sudan.

Through its strategic agreement with Intelsat, MTN is increasing the size of its network and making it easier for businesses in South Sudan to connect. It is also bringing mobile broadband to more people in rural areas of the country.

MTN is leveraging Intelsat’s expertise and superior connection infrastructure to broaden its offers, improve application performance, strengthen network reliability, and gain a competitive advantage.

“Intelsat has a long history with MTN, and we are committed to assisting the firm in expanding its leading position and meeting the ever-increasing demand for internet in South Sudan,” said Hans Geldenhuys, Intelsat’s director of Africa Sales.

Chisanga Kazuya, MTN South Sudan’s chief technical and information officer, said, “We’re happy to be working with Intelsat.” “This deal shows that MTN wants to serve its customers better and cover the whole country of South Sudan.”
