MTN Offers Faster Data Speed with 4G+ Service

TechInAfrica – MTN has just launched its 4G+ service to provide better and faster data speeds for its customers. Moreover, the new service offers widest internet connectivity coverage to customers.

It runs on 4G LTE Advanced technology with 800MHz and 2600MHz which are an enhancement on the 4G LTE experience. With the service and coverage, it offers more capacity and enhanced data speed compared from 3G to 4G+.

According to the CEO of MTN Ghana, Selorm Adadevoh on the launching of the new service, the enhanced data service will bring a positive impact to the country development as it offers opportunities for Ghanaians to use the digital data services.

Adadevoh furthermore said that 2019 is the MTN’s Year of the Customer as the company commits to investing in the latest technology in order to better serve its customer. In addition to better serving its customers, MTN will also continue to support the country growth in three main areas; Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, and Big Data.

“With faster internet and wider coverage, the transmission of data can be done with ease, on-the-go, with the best speed everywhere. Higher speed internet broadband promotes business growth and enriched social lives, ultimately boosting national development,” said Adadevoh.

According to Thomas Motlepa, the Chief Technical Officer for MTN Ghana, the company has already deployed 1,226 of 4G LTE sites while 625 sites are 4G+ in all regions nationwide. Additionally, the company is currently preparing for full national coverage.

As its commitment to providing better connectivity coverage, MTN has continued to consistently be the front line to launch its innovative products and services to Ghanaians. For the record, MTN was the first to introduce the GSM technology in Ghana as well as all generations of internet coverages, starting from 2G, 3G, 4G LTE and now 4G+ LTE.
