Sub-Saharan Africa will have Mzamo Masito as the new Google’s Chief marketing officer. Masito holds an MBA from Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS). He also has a post-graduate diploma from UCT. Before joining Google, Mzamo used to work at Vodacom and he held a senior position in the firm. Previously, he had worked with Nike and Unilever.

Google welcome Masito on January 8, 2018, in its Johannesburg offices. He will develop strategies for marketing Google in sub-Saharan Africa. Moreover, he will lead his team on ways of increasing internet access in the region. Besides, he will improve the marketing of locally-relevant products and utilize the available opportunity.

Masito who also lectures the School of Advertising at AAA besides serving on GIBS advisory board said he sought advice from people before joining Google. Moreover, Masito gladly welcomed the idea of working with Google. According to him, the company has committed resources to ensure the lives of people in Sub-Saharan Africa change.
