What You Need to Know About Huawei’s EMUI10, New Software to Launch on September 8

TechInAfrica – Huawei, one of the smartphone giants, is set to launch its EMUI software—Huawei’s custom mobile operating system based on Android. The software was first introduced in 2012 as part of its effort to provide a premium experience for its users. Now that the company will launch the updated version of the EMUI software. The update software is scheduled to roll out on September 8th, 2019. It will start with the HUAWEI P30 series.

There are several things you need to know about the new software EMUI10 as cited from IT News Africa, such as:

  • New look and new feel

The new EMUI10 comes with a whole new look and feel. Huawei said that it is designed to be more aesthetically pleasing and more functional at the same time. It was inspired by the design of a magazine, seen from the larger spacing and headlines. This new style can be seen on the contacts, settings, notepad, and photo gallery apps.

  • Updated camera design

The updated version of EMUI said to have a simpler and clearer background with its new zoom slider. Additionally, it has 11 new filters inclusive of monochrome options. Users will also experience the level of bokeh which is listed by the f-stop.

  • New set of color elements

The new EMUI10 will also include a ‘subtle’ color tone on many of the interface’s elements. According to Huawei, the new design is inspired by the color palette of a famous Italian painter, Giorgio Morandi. As a result, the new set of subtle colors and tones display an elegant and peaceful look.

The new color elements are applied to all over the user interface and noticeably seen in the contacts app.

  • Dark Mode is made darker

Huawei EMUI10 has designed the Dark Mode darker, not only just turn the screen black. Huawei said that the new Dark Mode design hopefully adds more value to the overall viewing experience.

The Dark Mode of EMUI10 has the ability to adjust contrast under changing light conditions. It is equipped with four different color themes for different light conditions.

  • Smoother animations

Huawei said that the EMUI10 also comes with the smoother animations. They are now more fluid and natural as it has been modeled on real-world physics which improve the overall quality of animations.
