New Commercial And SADC Lead Of Acer Has Been Appointed

TechInAfrica – The new Commercial and Southern African Development Community (SADC Lead of Acer has been appointed. The role is based at Acer’s Head office in Sunninghill, Johannesburg, and De Villiers Wolhuter, the appointed figure will be stationed there. The announcement came today (17/09), and as revealed by the electronics company, De Villiers is an experienced figure, being the Sales Executive and local IT industry heavyweight.

De Villiers job desk would be to increase and move the commercial business for the locals, and also within the SADC, as well as playing part in negotiating and driving the business growth across the various products of the company, with its Chromebook portfolio included in the list. As a seasoned figure in the industry, throughout his career voyage, De Villiers’ experiences include his involvement in the IT business development space, having worked for company such as Pinnacle and the spearheading business growth in the financial, banking, and insurance fields for Bytes Managed Services, and also the development opportunities for Digital Generation, which is a provider for custom-made ICT solutions.

Paul Collins, the Country Manager for Acer Middle East, Africa, ROA, stated that businesses need to look beyond a list of qualifications and to focus more on interpersonal and know-how that can close the sales loop, and this is in order to balance a specific skill set with the needs of this 4th Industrial Revolution of the digital age.
