New Notebooks from Huawei Launched in South Africa

History records that it is the first time Huawei brought its laptops to South Africa. Recently, Huawei launched MateBook X and 2-in-1 MateBook E in South Africa. The latter doubles up as both notebook and tablet. The two products have finally landed in Africa after official launching was done in May 2017. MateBook X core i5 will retail at R23, 999 while i7 will be R25,999. MateBook E will be sold at a retail price of R19, 999

Likun Zhao, South Africa’s GM of Huawei Business Group sincerely expressed confidence that the new revolution Huawei is bringing in the economy will boost their smartphone market. The notebooks have incorporated Dolby Atmos sound system. Akram Mohammed, Product Marketing Director at Huawei SA, said that Huawei is focused on delivering creative and innovative products while their competitors are after market shares. The products are slim and incorporating smartphone features like fingerprint scanning into PCs.

The Matebooks will be available for sale at all Huawei stores in South Africa, Makro, Computer Mania and Matrix Wearhouse.
