Nigeria cryptocurrency exchange startup Busha has raised $4.2 million in an investment round led by Jump Capital alongside participation from Cadenza Ventures, Blockwall Capital, Greenhouse Capital, CMT Digital, Raba Capital, and several other investors. The funding will go towards deepening Busha’s offering across West Africa and other regions in the continent.

Busha was founded in 2019 as a digital currency and exchange platform where both consumers and merchants trade using digital currencies such as litecoin, bitcoin, and ethereum. The startup was founded by Michael Adeyeri and Moyo Sodipo – two friends with an aim of onboarding more Nigerians to the crypto economy.

Jump Capital recently raised a $350 million fund for its seventh fund. The fund will be dedicating 40% of its fund to the crypto market.
