Carbon, a Nigerian-based financial startup, has rolled out a keyboard extension service dubbed Carbon Express. The company launched its new service to enable its users to access Carbon services using any app installed on their gadgets.

The startup’s new service is going to make online transactions better, simpler, and easily accessible. Users can still complete a transaction without necessarily launching the Carbon App.

Services such as bill payments will be accessed within any app other than the Carbon App. The Carbon Express uses the smartphone’s keyboard technology to initiate and see transactions go through.

Just like all other Carbon services, carbon express transactions are secure. This is achieved through the PCI DSS encryption and authentication that Carbon uses to optimize the security of its services.

Carbon features

The keyboard extension has come with an additional feature button that is added to the user’s smartphone keyboard. When a user wants to perform a transaction, they just need to tap on the carbon button on their keyboard.

The company has tapped on the already wide usage of smartphones especially on social media platforms like WhatsApp and Facebook. As users engage in social talks, they also engage in financial services on the same platform, what they are calling social banking services.

Carbon Express is right with the customer, on their smartphone, any time they need to transact. It is a service that brings convenience to online transactions.

Among other innovations, the company developed a reward system for its customers called Carbon Score. This is a reward system that brings customers closer, winning their loyalty.
