Nigeria migrant banking startup Vesti raises $500K pre-seed

The app currently boasts over 26,000 active users and grows by 33% month on month

Vesti Technologies Inc has raised a $500,000 pre-seed. The funding will go towards improving its platform, increasing its user base, and strengthening its market penetration into Africa. The fund round received participation from Microtraction, Oxygen Group, Prunedge Technologies, GB Digitals, Terramax Ventures, and Midlothian Angel Network.

In December 2021, Vesti has processed over $1 million in processed transactions. The app currently boasts over 26,000 active users and grows by 33% month on month. Vesti has operations in Dallas, Texas, and Lagos, Nigeria and is looking to expand its operations further to Rwanda and Ghana by the second quarter of the year.

Vesti was founded by the CEO Olusola Amusan and Abimbola is a financial solution providing peer-to-peer payments and migration-related fees settlement targeting Africans and giving support structure to immigrants accessing opportunities for investment.
