Nigeria ed-tech startup, uLesson raises $7.5 million Serie A funding for its online platform. The startup does both streamings and uses SD cards in minimizing data and streaming costs in an effort to bridge the education gap within Nigeria and Africa at large.

Investors that participated in the funding round are Owl Ventures, Founder Collective, TLcom Capital, and LocalGlobe. Owl Ventures will now have a presence on uLesson’s board in the form of Tory Patterson, the Managing Director.

According to the company, the new funds will power their expansion across Eastern and Southern Africa. The same applies to securing new talent and building product development and production infrastructure.

A prior $3.1 million in seed funding was raised in November 2019.
