Nigeria’s Farmchain Invited to Take Part in Genesis Week with the Opportunity to Join The Starfleet Accelerator Program’s Third Cohort

TechInAfrica – A Nigerian AgriTech blockchain startup, Farmchain, is invited to take part in the Genesis Week with the opportunity to join the third cohort of the Starfleet Accelerator Program. The event takes place at the Microsoft Innovation Center, Malta starting from November 4th – 10th, 2019. It is an intensive workshop for selected startups before getting shortlisted for the accelerator program.

There are 15 selected blockchain startups including Farmchain. They will be undergoing an intense mentoring session in Lean Startup Methodology, Blockchain Business Model Canvas, Value Proposition Design, Customer Development, Product Development, Raising Investment, Financing and Budgeting, Features of dApps and æternity Platform and Ecosystem, Coding Smart Contracts in Sophia, Pitching Masterclass, among others.

The 15 startups will be shortlisted to 10 startups and will undergo a further 5 weeks of mentorship from November 11th to December 7th, 2019. It will culminate with a Demo Day where selected teams will receive an investment offer up to $100,000 in AE tokens. Furthermore, they will also get additional 6 months of mentorship and acceleration program, as well as access to the vast worldwide network of ambassadors, blockchain startups, experts, developers, mentors, investors, and events.

Farmchain was selected from more than 100 applications from the world’s blockchain startups. It develops a blockchain B2B and B2C food and farm production traceability app and a management solution.
