One of the reasons why they need to go online is that half of Nigerians are already connected to the internet, thus, digital transformation is needed. The launching of OLeads in the country is part of Opera’s strategy to transform the digital advertising ecosystem by turning local businesses online, which will remove barriers for them to connect with potential customers.

Per Wetterdal, Vice President of Global Business Development at Opera said, “Nigeria is undergoing a rapid digitalization with already more than 110 million people on-boarded to the internet, and it’s estimated to grow to 188 million within the next four years.”
