Organon and Flat6Labs launch femtech Accelerator for Digital Healthcare startups in MENA

The program will help female-founded digital health startups across MENA build products, test market fit and improve business models

Organon, a global healthcare company has partnered with MENA region’s leading early-stage and seed venture capital firm Flat6Labs, to launch a Femtech Accelerator Program supporting female-led startups operating in MENA regions’ digital healthcare space. This partnership was signed at the Expo 2020 USA Pavilion marking its launch across the MENAT region.

Susanne Fiedler, the CCO at Organon described the program as a “new regional healthcare entity with a commitment to advancing the health of women in this region.” 

Flat6labs’ CIO Dina El-Shenoufy described the current startup landscape and the healthcare industry as male-dominated spaces. The new femtech accelerator will meet this need and those of greater digital innovation in the healthcare space while demonstrating cross-industry collaboration that further female economic empowerment goals.

Startups participating in the accelerator program are female-founded and prove that they can address all unmet women’s needs in line with Organon’s objectives. Ten of the top startups are invited to join this two-month intensive accelerator program going through a selection process or receiving support in turning this idea into an MVP that secures funding. Flat6labs offers business, technical training, and access to local and regional partner networks. Organon will mentor participants while connecting with global experts while providing access to its business network.

Launched in 2011, Flat6labs manages several seed funds with an AUM of $85M. Over 25 leading institutions have invested in the Flat6Labs managed funds. Flat6Labs invests in ticket sizes ranging between m $50K to $500k.
