The platform’s main goal is to mitigate challenges associated with accessibility, affordability, and flexibility by users acquiring learning materials. The users gain by obtaining academic materials at the comfort of their homes due to the conveniency of the android app.
The Panacea startup was launched in July last year after completion of formal author registration process. It has recently upgraded the android up which allow the subscribers to access book clubs, study materials, and rent books online.
According to Philip Amiola, the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the platform promotes fun in reading due to improved accessibility of study materials. Additionally, the initiative creates revenue to the publishers and authors via the increased global community of users. Furthermore, the platform ensures high standards of books quality without duplication and piracy by ghost authors. The strategy has generated maximum profit to authors and publishers using e-learning platform.
Amiola also noted gradual but steady implementation of the initiative through focusing on user’s priority. The platform has been also undertaking regular products adjustments and marketing testing of e-learning products using subscribers’ feedback. The platform objective is to attract more Africa authors and global users by Match, 2018. Besides offering some free learning resources, users also pay a given amount of money in order to access publications and books.
The average number of Panacea registered subscribers is approximately 150 from five countries both in Africa and outside the continent.
