Paratus Group announces the launch of Paratus Tanzania through a joint venture with Green Telecom, expanding connectivity in East Africa and focusing on key growth sectors. The Pan-African telecommunications and network services provider revealed the news, just four months after opening Paratus Kenya, further strengthening its presence in East Africa and advancing its ambitious expansion plans across sub-Saharan Africa.
Martin Cox, Chief Commercial Officer of Paratus Group, expressed that the launch in Tanzania is a positive development for both the company and businesses in the country that require high-quality connectivity services. “Having secured the necessary regulatory licenses, we are excited to partner with Green Telecom to introduce Paratus Tanzania. With professional technical engineering teams deployed nationwide, we are well-positioned to offer excellent connectivity and backup solutions to rural and underserved areas,” said Cox.
This joint venture aims to target several key sectors, including tourism, which has seen significant growth in Tanzania. For instance, tourism numbers increased by about 25% in the last year, creating substantial opportunities in this sector alone. Other targeted sectors include mining, NGOs, the health sector, and the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP). Additionally, the launch is expected to generate numerous job opportunities over the coming year.
Founded in 2013, Green Telecom initially provided technology solutions for mobile network operators (MNOs) before expanding into offering connectivity and telecom network services. The company now delivers tailored solutions for managing and integrating clients’ network services.
By establishing a presence in this vital East African market, Paratus Group strengthens its overall network service offering. “We can now offer customized network services for any enterprise in need of a fast, robust, and reliable connection across Africa and beyond,” said Cox. “At Paratus, we are at the forefront of Africa’s digital revolution, transforming connectivity across the continent and enabling individuals and businesses to reach their full potential.”
